A. I worked with donkeys when I was younger and they were quite skilled. They did basic walk, trot, canter and I had one that jumped and leg yielded. They were very similar to working with ponies, though you may want to think about doing some long lining first, and the kind of saddle you are going to use. These donkeys had soft cloth saddles almost like a bareback pad. Good luck! I remember that I often fell off because their whithers are so much lower and less pronounced than horses. Be careful and hope it all goes well!
